Lessons Learned in 3-D: March Radness

March Fun

Last year, the month of March was full of sadness.  I am so thankful for how far the Lord has brought us in the last 365 days.  He truly is the God who heals the brokenhearted.  In honor of this year’s fantastically footloose and fancy-free version of March, I am going to join Emily and friends to share 5 fun things I learned this month.

March Radness

1.  I discovered that Joanna Gaines from Fixer Upper has an online store.  I may have spent a little money.  (Package has not arrived yet, so you will have to wait till next month for the unveiling.)

2.  Facebook informed me that I can now put stickers on my photographs.  (I may have had a little too much fun with this….Don’t tell Bruce…)

3.  I discovered that I can binge watch all of Tom Hanks’ movies if I just set aside 7 minutes.

4.  I can create a totally ficticious holiday, and all of my fabulous Facebook friends will play along.

5. March 1st is National Pig Day.  (The Dunbars are fans of the pig… in case you didn’t know….we may have collected a few….)

I hope this post tickled your funny bone just a little.  It’s good to laugh my friends.

Q4U:  What made you smile this week?

  1. The pie looks delicious. As a math nerd, I must just mention that it was actually PI day. As a pie eater and lover, it seems to me we need at least two holidays, PI day and Pie day. Of course, we could have a Pecan Pie day, a Key Lime pie day, a Pumpkin pie day, a Chocolate Cream pie day …. Personally, I prefer the latter option.

    1. I didn’t make the pie, Drusila. It’s a stock photo, but my mom used to make it when I was a kid. Now, I just order it at restaurants.

      I actually did not know it was Pi day. I was just being a little funny, and everyone played along.

      I personally love that we celebrate holidays with food. I am a big lover of the Thanksgiving turkey. 🙂

  2. I want pie! Maybe garam masala spiced pecan pie! It’s my favorite. Or Buttermilk. Or chocolate freezer. Now I’m totally in the mood to cook! 🙂

  3. mmm … yes, what a difference a year makes. So grateful with you that things are looking UP. God is good.

    And I’m with you on Joanna and Chip and Fixer Upper. It’s one of the few shows my husband and I really enjoy together. {He was never a big Downton Abbey guy. Never.}

    Fun to have fun with you, Lyli!

    ;-}

  4. Yes to PIE DAY!
    This was delightful to read.
    Stopping by from Emily’s, thanks for sharing 😀
    What has made me smile? Overheard this morning while getting ready for school. “You are my brother…you are NOT an animal.”
    Have a great Tuesday 🙂

  5. I have visited Joanna’s shop but so far have refrained from a purchase – so far! Seeing some neighbors out splitting wood for another made me smile this morning. Visiting from Emily’s today – nice to meet you : )
